This way of doing business is not sustainable. Fairness and integrity are not only valuable personal morals; but SMART businesses will need to operate in this manner as more and more embrace social responsibility as the status quo. Otherwise, this dated practice will cause the loss of a competitive edge with more 'innovative' leaders who understand that with more and more transparency (voluntary or otherwise), exploitative practice will only save money in the short-term but it will be detrimental in the long run.
